About KonKell News

Editorial Standards

How KonKell News selects topics, checks sources, discloses commercial relationships, uses AI-assisted tools, and handles corrections.

Last reviewed August 23, 2026

KonKell News publishes practical English-language guides about chainsaw maintenance, chain care, sharpening, storage, and replacement decisions. This page explains who operates the site, how articles are prepared, and where commercial interests begin and end.

Ownership and purpose

KonKell News is operated by Morenet CO., Limited, trading as KonKell. KonKell sells chainsaw sharpening tools through konkell.com. The News site supports readers with maintenance and ownership information, but it is not an independent consumer-review publication.

Articles are written for informational purposes. KonKell News is not a substitute for the operator manual, manufacturer service information, safety training, or assessment by a qualified servicing dealer or tree-care professional.

Source and claim policy

The editorial workflow gives priority to current primary sources:

  • operator manuals and manufacturer maintenance documents;
  • chain, guide-bar, and sharpener manufacturer instructions;
  • government and public-safety guidance; and
  • university extension or other relevant technical publications.

Each substantial guide identifies the sources actually used in a visible Sources and further reading section. Secondary articles and videos may help reveal reader questions, but they do not replace primary documentation for actionable specifications or safety claims.

KonKell News does not claim field testing, tool ownership, professional credentials, interviews, or first-hand experience unless the article names the contributor and explains the evidence. Measurements, compatibility, temperatures, angles, service limits, and performance claims must come from the documentation for the exact equipment; the site avoids turning one model’s specification into a universal rule.

A KonKell product or collection may be mentioned when it genuinely fits the reader’s task. The article must state the relevant limitation and cannot present a sharpening tool as a repair for damaged chains, bars, sprockets, fuel systems, batteries, or safety controls.

Product links go to the current KonKell store. They are commercial links to a site under the same ownership. KonKell News does not sell paid editorial links, accept undisclosed guest posts, or promise rankings or dofollow treatment in exchange for publication.

AI-assisted workflow

AI-assisted tools may help organize research, prepare a draft, or run quality checks. They are not treated as factual sources. Actionable claims must be checked against the sources shown in the article, and unsupported specifications, invented experience, generic filler, and repeated conclusions are removed before publication.

Some outside publications do not accept AI-assisted submissions. KonKell News respects each recipient’s policy and will not represent an AI-assisted draft as eligible when the publication prohibits it.

Updates and corrections

Guides may be substantially refreshed when manufacturer information changes, Search Console data reveals a clearer reader need, or an existing explanation can be made more accurate. The canonical URL is retained when the search intent remains the same.

To report a factual error, broken source, undisclosed conflict, or unclear safety boundary, email service@konkell.com with the article URL and the passage in question. Corrections are checked against current source material before the page is updated.

Editorial and re-use inquiries

Editors may contact service@konkell.com about original contributions, source records, quotations, or re-use permission. Any outside contribution must follow the receiving publication’s rules, disclose the KonKell relationship, and remain subject to that editor’s decisions about attribution and references.
